Mine's because I've worked in the fitted kitchen business for 30-odd years, I still see old customers from many years ago, who can't remember my name, (Gerard), so they refer to me as 'the kitchen man'
The reason for the three capital letters is because they are the initials of the company I work for.

For any curious new floks:

Lanc - Grandpa Hall born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire (1898), died in Accrington (!980)

York - Nana Hall (Woodhead), born in Bradford, Yorkshire (1906)

Yank - BEA, born in Rhode Island (New England) so my southern friends refer to me as a "yank."

Clever eh?

Brian

I own a coffee plantation in Brazil & i am on the board of directors of a silver mine in Johannesburg:D ......but really it's more to do with names & a Beatles song.

Erm, I think my pic says it all really!

Just curious UKCowboy. What is the definition of a cowboy over there. Is it just the hat or do you also ride, rope, brand, spit, chew, etc? I've done all those things and wondered if any different in England?

Brian

Just thought, would this be an appropriate thread starter?

Retlaw has coined a new one for me which I love - with his usual dry sense of humour he calls me : "La Donna Mobelay"....brilliant!:D:D:D

I might change my flight home then and pop round to pay him a visit:D

Don't you dare, you will get a shock if you do, ever seen Freddy Kruger, I was his stand in.

First time I've ever seen you write in normal english and not "Lanky" - perhaps you would care to join me, Cashy and his "Princess" in the Imposta tomorrow around one..he has promised to wear his best teeth and I will have a rose in my buttonhole. I am a true romantic ...

Fraid i wouldn't recognise Mr Kruger, don't watch those kind of films...;):D

By the way my new signature and avatar are in homage to your nice nickname for me -much appreciated!
