v Burnley friendly

Dissapointed- yeh, but if thats the advice from people that "DO" know what there talking about, it makes good sense.:alright:

Not really surprised but glad they're being sensible about it - would have been a shame to undo all the work that's been done on the pitch ............ maybe we could play it on Livy Road instead :)

:rofl38: the neighbours would complain.............tho whats wrong with hyams or back at peel park lmao:D:D

Do agree even tho very surprised about the sensile approach to ensuring the pitch gets the best start:)

I'm still in shock, to be honest, they finally done summat right. fingers crossed this is the first of many things.:thankya:

Is the control box in it's new position yet ? If not then that could have contributed to the postponment.

didn't i read a statement from DON last week saying that the game could and would go ahead with or without any grass on the pitch? Turning down the biggest money making game of the season, call me cynical but i think there''s more to this!

Think you could be right, Jeff. A while ago the pitch looked as though it would be ready, though admittedly not from a close up inspection.

:) I think your looking for something that isn't there,i posted a bit a go that the club was working with the contracters who did the work and it was been moniterd on a daily bases,at the end of the day the club wants to have the best pitch possible and if postponing a friendly all be it Burnley then so be it.I know what i'd rarther have and thats the best possibe pitch any time:)

An obvious and pragmatic answer Mark !!...However,being of a more adventurous outlook,I prefer to think that along with the other Management appointments, Stanley might now have a Clairvoyant on their Staff !! to construct their press releases, and just think what ramifications that could have !. any suggestions ??
