Wireless access bit the dust...

Got this little problem as of yesterday. I can not get on the internet via my wireless router, untill I plug the yellow lead in to the router and laptop. Before yesterday all I had to do was press Fn and F1 together and a box came up. Then I chose WAN , checked the box , and I was wireless.No end of pressing these ;) two together made any differance today...I have not altered any settings that I can remember, so any help would be very nice of you........,.Tony
 
does your laptop have a "hardware" switch for the wifi connection that you have accidentally knocked(Most do)? if its off there no amount of the software switching will work.

No the laptop does not have a switch...just the Fn-F1 feature that I mentioned.. well ,not that I can see... After a bit of trail & error messing, I have got the wi fi thing on, and I think it was something to do with blocked start up programmes....Any way Thanks for your advice Ian............Tony
