Well today I yet again ventured out to the gym. Yes I know, me and exercise in the same sentence comes as much as a shock to myself as anyone but there you go. I have never had what you would call a close relationship with physical activities and I hated PE at school, but then again that may have been due to the fact that I have absolutely no co-ordination, if you ever meet me dont throw anything to me or it will most certainly end up on the floor.
Needless to say though that this past Christmas I decided this was the year I was going to get fitter. It's suprising how having depression and such can make your overall fitness levels drop dramatically.
Now I go three times a week in the mornings and scarily enough I actually enjoy it. I spend about 2 hours sweating and straining (no rude innuendo's there please ) and really feel the difference. Already I can see slight definition forming lol
It's also a good place to watch people. There are all walks of lifes that go, from young to old, small to big, skinny to large..... you name it. Each has their own little routine and format of how they do things and they are all there for different reasons. You get the people who are tryign to lose weight, the skinny ones who are trying to bulk up and the muscle heads whose forearms are as wide as my waist still trying to expand their already enormous biceps. Ahhh all in the name of vanity.

Lol, l think l've got a dirty mind but 'watching the big ones etc.' gave me a differnt picture to the one l know you meant.

Good for you though for getting out there and doing something, inspirational.

It is good that you are on a healthy regime.....keep at it.
One of the latest studies shows that physical activity, of the sort that goes on in the gym is a good antidote to depression.
Something to do with the body producing endorphins. I used to go to the gym regularly but there were so many posers that I gave it up........I think that spuds look bad in shiny Lycra.......hehehe
