Re: Holker Hokum

This is what I have been told on Caton:

"The main problem seems to be service to him. He hasn't got any. He's running around at the back for bits and pieces."

Re: Holker Hokum

Did anyone who went feel any of our striker recruits had goals in them? The unflattering comparisons I've read with Pressley suggest not.

Holker Hokum

Had to be Pressley. Assisted the first and scored the second.

Re: Away at Harrogate

I gather their first goal was a deflection off Coyle that gave Crellin no chance and their second goal came from a free kick awarded after Coyle had fouled a Harrogate player.

I cannot understand...

Re: Ash Hunter

I suspect the answer is his pressing, linkage play and assists.

Ash Hunter

I'd have expected Devon Matthews to be leading the player of the month votes but noticed Ash Hunter was well ahead. As he's not conspicuously high scoring what else would people be basing their...

Re: Second minute goal handicap - Doncaster at home thread

I feared it would be a 1-5 given the way they finished last season and their placing this. Also having been their bogie side for a few years the roles have somewhat reversed. All the more frustrating...

Second minute goal handicap - Doncaster at home thread

Sadly never going to be one of 16 cup finals.

Re: Four points off the drop zone - Morecambe 23rd Placed Away Post Mortem

I was looking for Andy Holt's take on the current situation but his Twitter account seems to have disappeared again.

Four points off the drop zone - Morecambe 23rd Placed Away Post Mortem

0-2. Those most likely to retrieve the situation came on too late.

Re: Wombles (not concrete cows) thread

Thanks! My early impressions are that Ward is a sound signing. Dev Matthews comes with such ringing endorsements that I expect he'll bridge the gap. Yes they're well ensconced in the play off places...

Wombles (not concrete cows) thread

Anyone go to the game and form an opinion on the signings. I'm getting a bit apprehensive that people don't transition well from National League North!

Re: vs Port Vale

Does anyone know why Mr Caton isn't playing or even on the subs' bench? He seems to have disappeared since Notts County. Is he injured?

Re: vs Port Vale

I know Vale were at home, are a good side and have spent plenty of money but they were down to ten men for much of the match. Disappointing we failed to make the numerical advantage count. Plenty of...

Re: January Window

The reaction to Chester's Twitter announcement of his departure is something to behold. Charlie Caton was clearly very highly rated and thought of there.

Re: January Window

Whatever the various disappointments since, Colby Bishop has shown that you CAN make the transition from the National League North to the Football League - indeed in his case to League One and later...

Some replys to the BBC Match Report

"Switched on with the game in progress and based on the play and team colours, thought I was watching the re-arranged Everton vs Liverpool fixture."

Re: A very happy away day thread.

What a transformation since the manager brought in those side lined players. Starting to look like a good League 1 side again.

Re: Former Players!

Wondered why Colby Bishop hasn't played for Portsmouth this season. He had a heart scan in July that revealed a potential issue and got referred for an operation. Wasn't clear when he could resume.
