Just watched 'Ice Age' on ITV1 tonight .. gotta' give it to these animators .. they are brilliant. The expressions, bonding animal characters with human characteristics and one-liners are absolutely brilliant.

Had me laughing, angry, hanging with the adventure, and crying at the happy ending.

Lovely entertainment at its best.

You softy lol must admit though, I like that film, theres a few good animated films out though, I like shrek myself

Have to agree katex, these films are great, and there are a lot of them, the first 100 times are ok, but...:D:D

Yes, Shrek good too Emzy ... how do they get all those expressions in that form ? Soo clever.

Even back to the Walt Disney films .. Snow White, etc .. was good then .. but now .. just wow!

One of the funniest lines from Ice Age was when the Mammoth was talking to the Tiger .. and suggested that he go and 'find some other creature to disembowel' . sadistic but great fun. Nearly spat out me Toad in the Hole (no LOL not real toad).

I'm another big softy!
Couldn't help but have a tear in my eye at the end of Ice Age!
Love those films, very funny and great family entertainment.

The modern computer generated animated films are superb. I feel very lucky having my 8 year old granddaughter and her mum living with me because we have an awful lot of them on DVD. :)

I've got to say my 2 favourites are "Monsters Inc." and "Shrek 2" but they're all good. A lot of the humour is aimed at adults, more than children, but not so much as to spoil things for the child. "Ice Age" is very good but I'm always left pitying that poor prehistoric squirrel who never gets his nut. :D

Eeew no Derekgas .. will look out for it. Now my kids/grandaughter are grown up .. miss these .. maybe me going backwards as they say .. :D

Look out for over the hedge too, or I can lend it to you, I work in clayton, it is extremely funny.

I remember taking my son to see Ice age at the flix we both enjoyed the film when it came out on vid we had to buy it, i also like watching animated films, my favourite has got to be Toy story

Got to be Shrek 1 and 2. Like ice age as well. I was lucky - i had nieces and nephews so any kids films i used to take them or use them as the excuse to buy the videos and dvd's!!!

we have happy feet, dont buy the one that comes with march of the penguins, imo thats not suitable for the little ones.

u know a film can have the best animation ever but if the script aint right its no use. how bad were over the hedge and a few others i dont even want to remember. shrek 3 was just livign off shrek 1+2.

for me the crowning glory still has to be toy story 1+2 the first and i think its still the best out there. Pixar are in a league of their own when it comes to animation but thankfully you can tell they spend alot of time on scripts aswell as the graphics. all their movies get regular plays in our house from TS to monsters inc to finding nemo to bugs life.

its little wonder that disney rather than lose them made them partners.

Animated films are excellent especially for kids or even big kids:D They have come a long way since Walt Disney started. I didn't watch the one last night but I watched part one of the Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic on Sky 1 HD part two is on tonight at 6pm. It's a follow on from Hogfather irst screened in 2006 both staring David Jason, if you get te chance its wel worth the trip.

I think Toy Story has got to be my favourite, although Madagascar runs a close second. Also love Shrek although I think the second & third films were nowhere near as good as the first one.
