Bits & Bobs

[Mr T]

Anybody heard of the date for the rearranged game at Oxford.

Paul;

There isn't one yet; as every date we're looking at may be used for FA Cup replay's or EFL Trophy games.

Plus Oxford only went out in the 1/4 final of the Carabao

Oxford are still in the Cup; we're still in the Trophy.

Plus they've got Ipswich and Wimbledon to fit in as well!!

Sat 8th of Feb would suit us, but I suspect Oxford will have a fixture all ready !!

I wonder if our friend, Somerset, keeps a spread sheet on Women’s matches?
If so this news must be driving him to distraction....

Hmmmm......If Accrington Stanley “Lost” their ground, would they be allowed to continue playing in the EFL?

to be honest i have wondered if many smaller clubs would? i have grave doubts.

still think there are different rules regarding the covenrty and boltons of this world than accringtons and morecambes. actually have any club lost their ground and been forced out. seems that clubs die and their ground gets developed for something else.

Southend charged with failing to pay their players and staff again plus fielding an ineligible player against Lincoln.

Interesting article from 10 years ago about professionalism and the founding of the league:

the hotbeds of football used to be the north west, north east and the midlands. now apart from a few exceptions its now inside the M25.
