Here we go again

Mick

Resting in Peace
Overlooker
Ever since i had my heart op i have been very short of breath,(don't run for buses anymore):)
anyway its been getting worse lately so have been going to the docs he as tried allsorts of tablets but nothing seams to work .
Today i had an appointment at 8-40am with him he said he was going to refare me to the cardiac unit again and gave me a form i filled this in just address phone number and post code and gave it to the receptionist who sorted my appointment out and gave me the details which i just stuffed in my pocket till i got home.
when i did get home i made a brew and switched laptop on and had a read of the letter was impressed with the short date which was the 6th may 2008 at 2-20pm
what i was not impressed with was where it is i would have expected it to be Blackpool Vic where i had my op done, but no that's to near and anyway all my records are there ...no i have to go to the Royal Lancaster infirmary great.
I can see whats going to happen, i will get there and they will say you will have to come back we dont have your records.

Mick, you can choose where you want to go. The waiting time to be seen is probably shorter at Lancaster but if you want to go to Blackpool, get back to the docs and let them know.

Oh No Mick......can't you ask to go back to where you were first treated?
I thought that the government had some scheme where you could be treated at any hospital you wanted......or is that sometime in the distant future?
I would certainly be wanting to go where they had my notes...and the consultant had some idea of my previous problems.
Go kick some butt Mick.

Yes you can choose but Blackpool did not come up in the list of options .
the doc wants to get it sorted as soon as he can and that's the quickest appointment.
i don't mind really but i can see whats coming
and i can claim traveling expenses back
also anne can do some shopping
and if she is up for it i could meet up with a friend of ours.................you free on the 6th may Blazey ?
meet you outside the castle at 1pm:D

Hope all goes well Mick, I know somebody who has been waiting for an appointment at Blackpool for ages.

my grandad had his bypass done at blackpool, sure he had all his follow ups there as well!

my dad had his mitral valve replacement at wythenshawe hospital in Manchester, he has to go to Bury's Fairfield hospital every fortnight for his check ups and to have his blood done (he's on warfarin)

let us all know how you get on mick
