That would depend on the gift. A bike would be a waste of money at this stage but there's no harm in buying her a couple of dresses, cuddly toys or maybe a baby gym. My two liked lying under a baby gym for short periods from a young age. They like looking at the bright objects and lights.

Don't go overboard though. No point in spending too much, wait until she's older and more aware of what's going on.

I think she means she wants the pram to put her daughter in, the daughter which she is due to give birth to in January - not that she has a pregnant daughter due to give birth in January and she is looking for a pram for her.
