She's Gone.....

I have just been tracking flight EYO22 to Abu Dhabi.....it left Manchester at 21.22.......which means that as I type this, my baby sister is somewhere in the skies above us gripping the arm of her seat, gritting her teeth and saying a silent prayer to St Christopher.

Although we went to greet her on her arrival from Oz, we didn't go to wave her off.......I couldn't go as I had something pressing to deal with.....but then, I think that Nessa didn't really want to be waved off.....that signifies a sort of finality that we didn't want to acknowledge......we have discussed the distance that separates us and have come to the conclusion that we are all only a phone call or an e-mail away....and that physical miles are no barrier when you carry the thoughts of that person in your heart.

We have enjoyed having this short time together(and greedily, wished it could be more)......We have spent as much time as we could in each others comapany...we have lunched together, we have laughed together, we have caught up on the particles of each others lives.......we have found that we still think alike, we still have the same hopes (and fears) and that though we are a world apart, nothing much has changed......other than we have all got a bit older.

I look forward to us all being together again.......and wish my baby sister Godspeed.

I know I have broken up the trip to Bury by doing this little bit of blog......I really meant to do more on the blog, but life has sort of got in the way......and yet I know you, my readers, will understand that to write a half decent blog, you really have to live life......and that is what I have been doing.
And you are going to have to wait a bit more, because I am off to Llandudno tomorrow with Nicola,Greg, and the tinlids.......a week away in cosey Cottage.
I hope to be able to catch up on the visit with Nessa, and also the hols in Wales......with pics, so it should be worth waiting for.
See you in a week or so...behave!

Oh Marg I feel for you, e-mails and phone calls can never substitute for having your loved ones near. Yes it makes it more bearable but not the same. Enjoy your break with Nicola, Greg and the tinlids xxxxx Look forward to reading more of your great blogs:)

With all the shopping you both did i hope she did not have too much excess baggage to pay for on the flight back

There were no excess baggage charges Mick.....Nessa brought lots of gifts with her, and was well underweight when she flew in. so she had room in her case for the stuff she bought....and anyway, there's a tale to tell about our shopping expedition....but that'll have to wait.

I got a text to say that she was chillin' at the airport, that she had checked in her luggage and given back her hire car....she will be well on her way as I write this...she gets back to Bris at 12mn our time.
I wish she had had room in her suitcase for me :)

hope the weather turns nice for you and you have a good time in wales with the tinlids .. dont let them natter you to make too many sandcastles .... lol

glad you had a good time with your baby sis .. she'll be safely home now as im typing this .. and agree no matter what .. you always think of them ... even though theyre far away.

Glad you made more memories with your sister. Have a lovely holiday Margaret xx

(gulp) she even has some photo's of me......though i have to admit I really did try to avoid having my piccie taken.
Now I'm back I will have to take up where I left off
