The train is a better option from Rishton...takes 5 minutes and leaves Rishton just after 10 to the hour...back 19 mins past each hour. Plus if two people travel one travels half price after 9.30am ...

'The Silver Fish' on Manchester Road, Baxenden, used to be an excellent chippy...Now also a chinese...still very good though, called 'Kam Po'.

Just a quick note - the rail replacement buses are now scheduled to pick up/drop off on the new station car park adjacent the new ticket office, NOT outside the Imperial, as in previous years.

We use Sainsburys mostly as Margaret says its free delivery tue/wed/thur, plus they have hourly delivery slots (tesco/asda are two hourly), and usually they are the cheapest as they either price...

train is direct accrington to cherry tree 19 mins past each hour takes 15 mins...£3.50 return adult - 2 adults northern duo travelling together £5.50 return...kids £1.75 each
